HISTORY
In the past "caffè-concerto" signified
a musical entertainment performance held outside of the sacred placed
of the music (theatre, concert-hall, aristocratic and bourgeois
salons); it used to be performed in cafè, in the "thermal cities",
in the characteristic places of the public gardens, on the river-boats.
The best time of the "caffè-concerto" was the last century when
it tooks the characteristics of each European country where it was held, respecting
the original texture, given by all the heterogeneous "kinds" of music
(ouverture, symphony, selections of the opera and the operetta, songs and dances).
The central European "caffè-concerto" (German-Danubian countries)
at wich CAFFE' CONCERTO STRAUSS of
Cesena inspires itself, had the most famous representatives members of the Strauss
dynasty.
In fact the Viennese musicians used to give their repertories to be performed
by small instrumental group in the "kaffeehausen", in the gardens,
in the suburbs of the imperial Vienna and educated the public to love beyondthe
dance music also the "lied", the opera, the symphony, the operetta.
In the central European "caffè-concerto" the "soloistical" character
of the "instrumental" stood out, able to express the expressive characteristics
and the stylistic differences proper to the artistical personalities belongingto
